Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst is relieved after the scan showed Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun was not badly injured.
Balogun left the pitch after 14 minutes during Wednesday’s Scottish Premiership clash between Rangers and Hibernian.
The Nigerian international has been in and out of the squad due to the injury. He also missed the 2021 African Cup of Nations due to the injury, however, Van Bronckhorst said Balogun won’t be out for long this time.
“Leon (Balogun) had a scan and it was very positive, it wasn’t as bad as we first thought.“ He said.
The former Mainz 05 and Wigan Athletics defender could return in time for the crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ghana next month.
